CallTower Successfully Migrates Customers from Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams with Direct Routing

While CallTower’s Native Skype for Business customers will not be impacted by Microsoft’s Skype for Business Online retirement, CallTower efficiently transitions customers from Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams

September 26, 2019

South Jordan, Utah –CallTower, a global leader in delivering cloud-based enterprise-class unified communications and collaboration solutions today confirmed they are assisting customers and prospects who want to navigate from Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams.  CallTower recently announced they would continue to support their Native Skype for Business, Enterprise Edition solution through 2025. While some customers will choose to remain on Skype for Business, customers who are ready to take advantage of the collaborative power of Microsoft Teams can be seamlessly migrated by CallTower to a Teams Direct Routing solution.

As many companies explore the challenges of moving to Teams, CallTower is prepared to make the transition smooth and ROI-friendly through a comprehensive system and user evaluation with a dedicated implementation team. CallTower’s approach is solution-based, focused on business enablement with a fully customized solution rather than pushing a single Unified Communications platform.

CallTower delivers an integrated Office 365 Microsoft Teams experience with global calling plans empowered by a US-based client services team.  This solution ensures a personalized implementation, adoption, training and support strategy. As a Microsoft Gold Partner, CallTower’s monitoring and management services deliver the highest quality user experience. The Microsoft Teams Phone System powered by CallTower enables customers to bring their current voice serves into the Microsoft Cloud through Direct Routing. Direct Routing ensures the ability to leverage CallTower’s preferred rates and unlocks the full potential of a Microsoft Teams Phone System. Microsoft Teams with CallTower Direct Routing provides customers with increased connectivity and collaboration, app integration and effective change management.

“CallTower’s dedication to ensuring customers continue to benefit from their UCaaS solution and stay connected is paramount.  When a customer chooses to migrate to Microsoft Teams we are ready to deliver a seamless transition,” said CallTower’s Cheif Revenue Officer, William Rubio. “By delivering a smooth transition to Teams a customer can make the move without impacting users and operations.  When customers migrate to Teams with CallTower Direct Routing, they take advantage of Teams’ powerful collaboration technology, plus the feature-rich solutions CallTower adds to Teams. Essential tools like contact center, CRM integration, device management, SD-WAN, faxing, paging, door buzzers and failover to other devices in the case of a Microsoft interruption are unlocked for CallTower customers.”

This confirmation is preceded by Microsoft’s recent notification that Skype for Business Online will be retired as of July 31, 2021.  CallTower’s Native Skype for Business customers will not be impacted by Microsoft’s transition, as their customers are on Skype for Business Enterprise Server Edition in their global private cloud. CallTower is continuing to invest in Skype for Business Server Edition 2019 to better serve and connect customers.
