Steps for Migrating Existing Devices
1. Create Device Records
- Upload device MAC addresses in bulk or individually via the Phonism portal or API.
2. Boot Up Your Device
- Devices boot and redirect to Phonism.
3. DHCP Option
- Devices connect to Phonism and download configurations, enabling TR-069 management and Ring Ready™ templates.
4. Device Reboots & Applies Initial Config
- Devices connect back to Phonism for provisioning and apply UCaaS platform settings.
5. Factory Reset
- Admins can reset devices via the Phonism portal or API.
6. Device Boots & Downloads Clean Config
- Devices reboot, retrieve DHCP Option 66, and apply all UCaaS platform settings.
7. Device is Live!
- Fully configured, Ring Ready™, and accessible for calls and other functions.
Onboarding New Devices
New devices follow similar steps but include enhanced setup options for first-time use.
