Instead of browsing the company directory, digging through notes, or trying to find people you haven’t talked to recently, use the search feature in Webex to quickly locate content, people, or spaces.
Narrow Your Search by Category
- Search for Anything:
Whether it’s meeting recordings, conversations, or project information, the search bar in the app header helps you find exactly what you need. - Filter Results:
Use the “Search all spaces” option to locate messages, files, or links without knowing the exact space they’re in. Just type a keyword, and Webex will handle the rest. - Quick Access:
Access files, links, and other content directly from the search results.
Use Search Modifiers for Tailored Results
Refine your search with modifiers like:
- “in”: Specify a space to narrow down results.
- “from”: Find messages from a specific person.
- “with”: Locate a project space with specific people.
Example: Need a meeting recording from a project space? Use the “in” modifier to specify the space and get precise results.

- Search Within a Space:
Use the magnifying glass to search for messages, files, or recordings within a specific project space. - Content Tab:
Focus on files, recordings, whiteboards, and more by clicking the Content tab—perfect for skipping conversations and going straight to the resources you need.
